SCg Shoe Co exists because a pair of skate shoes blew up in one session.

They weren’t worn out. They weren’t cheap. They failed the first time I rode in them.

When I reached out to the brand, the answer was simple: the shoes were designed for skateboarding, not BMX.

That was the moment.

Not because the shoe failed — but because failure was treated as acceptable once it didn’t fit the category.

For years, riders adapted skate shoes to bikes. We accepted short lifespans because there wasn’t another option. But replacing shoes constantly shouldn’t be the cost of riding.

So in 1999, SCg was started to build footwear specifically for riding bikes.

Not lifestyle shoes.
Not trend-driven designs.

Tools.

Shoes reinforced where riding actually destroys them. Built to survive pedals, abrasion, missed landings, long sessions, and repeated abuse.

We’re based in Tampa, Florida, and manufacture in our own factory in Bogotá, Colombia. Owning our production allows us to control the details that matter — materials, construction, reinforcement, and quality. If a shoe fails, it’s ours to fix.

We build deliberately. We improve what works. We fix what doesn’t. We choose durability over disposability and long-term performance over short-term trends.

Our shoes feature a 5mm pin-resistant outsole base, reinforced toe and heel structure, padded crank-side protection, and a more square toe box with added space to help protect toes from impact. They’re built for skateparks, street, ramps, trails, bike parks, and enduro.

From BMX park and street to jump lines and mountain trails, SCg builds shoes expecting real riding.

Built to Ride. Not to Fail.

If you ride hard and expect your gear to keep up, that’s why SCg exists.
